By munroenet

Well lets first get straight what a browser cookie is. Well when you go to a site or any other place on the web, even on hubpages a little cookie is deposited on your Hard drive. Then when you click on a add ,Let say cars then a cookie is deposited, then where ever you go the site reads that cookie and if it has adds it will probably put up car adds trying to get your attention and a sale. The problem come in were Bad cookie come in. These bad cookies follow you around marking were ever you go. They also can make your browser silently go to bad sites and download spy-ware. This causes your computer to slow down. After a long time all those cookies begin slowing down your PC by a chunk. However, you don't usually want to delete all of them because then when you come to hubpages or any other site that you had remember my password and user name will be deleted and you will have to re-login, Not re-make the account.

So how to get rid of Bad Cookies and other bad spy-ware. Well most spy-ware applications have built in cookie scanners but not all. I use Spy-ware Doctor which is great at removing those pesky bad cookies. If you wish to read a hub on Spy-ware doctor ((Click Here)). So that will usually get rid of bad cookies.

Now lets say you just want to get rid of all of them. OK, then you need to go to Tools and then Internet Options. Then you need to go to General Tab and then click delete all browsing history. You should get a prompt then click yes to delete all browsing history. That is for Internet Explorer. Now to FireFox go to tools Click "Clear Private Data" then check everything you want to delete then yes and if any prompts come up read it and do which ever one continues the deleting process.

Good luck.
